I wouldn't be so sure. The Agency Workers Directive will send shock waves through the industry and I'm in no doubt that most recruiters will go way overboard with their AWD compliance, particularly in the first couple of years.

It'll be similar to when the MSC legislation first came out. I remember at the time wondering why the hell I was being asked to fill out some 3 page MSC questionnaire when I was the owner / director of my own limited company!

The fact is, yes it'll be a royal pain in the @rse and I imagine things won't settle down until the first quarter of 2012. But recruiters, contractors, accountants and umbrella companies for that matter will find a way to work around the BS red tape and we'll all live happily ever after.
