I agree. There are many contractors out there that don't give a second thought to eating at clientco's canteen. I'm not talking on a one off basis, I’m talking every single day of the week for the duration of their long term (c 12 months +) contract. These contractors are the very people that HMRC were targeting when they dreamt up IR35. I'm not saying IR35 is a good thing, don't get me wrong. I'm saying that as a contractor, you have a duty of care to ensure you don't leave yourself exposed to an HMRC investigation by paying yourself a big fat dividend every month but acting in exactly the same way as clientco's employees.
