Absolutely nothing for me to get excited about yesterday. All that hype about the possible scrapping of IR35, Income Shifting et al....what a total let down.

I don't even think he used the usual line about the benefits of the "UK's flexible workforce", very disappointing.

On another note, I’ve had a slight change of heart and decided to stick it out at clientco and take my 25% reduction in rate BUT (and this is a big BUT), I’ll be very actively looking for new gigs with effect from today.

Had a chat with a couple of agents yesterday and they did seem more than a tad positive about my chances. Not sure if this was just their overly optimistic nature but I genuinely am feeling good about the rest of the year.

That said, roll on 2010...
