Default Tax on retained profits?

Hello,

I am the sole director of a limited company. The company was formed in Jan 2010 and for the tax year 2009-2010, it earned 12,000 before expenses. My plan is to pay myself 6,475 for the year and any NIC due on this and then to retain the remaining profits in the company (approx. 5,250) into the 2010-2011 tax year and then draw off this retained profit to pay a salary to myself each month in the new tax year.

So my plan is to carry over about 5,250 in profit to the next year and use this to pay a salary, expenses etc - as far as corp tax is concerned, do I need to pay 21% tax on the 5250 for tax year 2009-2010 if I carry this amount in profits over into the tax year 2010-2011?

Many Thanks for your help!
