Default Budget 2009- The aftermath

I'll get the conversation kicked off- What are everyones thoughts on this budget?

I personally liked David Cameron's reply where he described it as a 'missed opportunity' and 'Totally inadequate'

I totally agree. Not much excitement for anyone, just increased debt.

Cameron's reply was very well prepared. It was like listening to 20 minutes of stand up comedy!

It's been unravelling in the media in the last couple of days, hasn't it?

Maybe they should have just had the balls to stand up and say "ok, a fair bit of this isn't our fault, it's the global economy, but at the same time we've majorly stuffed up"

Labour's economics or 'fiscal policy' simply doesn't add up. I was always taught to prudently save to buy the things I wanted, not take on credit or expose myself financially. What you've got here is a bunch of politicians without a basic grasp of financial discipline. Labour's 'buy now, pay later' mentality has royal screwed up this country and it'll be my kids that pay for it..........in 2020.

What a mess, bring on the Tory boys...

Predicted it quite well, didn't they?

"CHANCELLOR Alistair Darling last night admitted he is not even trying any more after pledging £15bn worth of 'efficiency savings'.

Mr Darling said Wednesday's Budget would contain a series of key announcements that he is probably just going to make-up in the car on the way to work."
