There was a time that I would defend Ryanair. Sure, they charged for odd things but you could always argue that they were all 'extras' in the flight process that you took for granted because all the airlines offered them.
But after hearing rumours I did a bit of internet searching today and couldn't believe that it confirmed what I had heard. Ryanair will now charge you, the customer,
£5 per person, to check-in
yourself online and print off your boarding pass on your
own printer as they attempt to phase out check-in desks this year.

To really rub it in, if you fail to turn up 'checked-in' they will charge you
forty quid to print your boarding pass out for you... most expensive piece of A4 paper ever??
My suggestion? Never, ever use this poor excuse for an airline. But if you do.... beware.
