Contact and address book sync?
Just get an Android. If you use gmail or google apps that's all free. And it's got pretty neat Exchange integration.
Just googled it... £59 a year? Calendar integration? Android standard as well. Chat? Android standard. iDisk for sharing files? Just get dropbox.
And how much do I pay for all this on an Android? Free.
As for finding your device, there's latitude, although if it tries to work it out from your network provider it won't be highly accurate. Mind you, no less than Find my iPhone if it has the same method.
If you want to pay, get WaveSecure. £12.78 for the year. For that, much much less that MobileMe, I get tracking of my phone location, I can remote lock and wipe (with a polite message asking the person to hand it in or call a person of my choice, and it backs up my contacts, call log, sms and media whenever I plug it in to charge and am connected to wifi. If anyone tries to change the SIM or uninstall the program, it locks the device instantly until I unlock it (either on the handset or remotely).
(Alternatively, you can disable this lock feature, wait for someone to change the SIM and then call them to threaten them with a good kicking).
Seriously, why do people go with Apple when there's better solutions out there?
