Exclamation Countdown to the next general election!

Since it appears that Brown will hold on to power for as long as possible, I have decided to launch a countdown clock.

Assuming that he clings on until the latest time he can hold the next election, we have a eye-watering 310 days to potentially until he is removed from power.

310 days???

Good god, it's worse than I thought. Follow the whole horror unfolding on this website, second by second. On the plus side, just remember that each second gets us closer to getting rid.

Countdown clock

You're probably right. But I'll be miraculously cured when Labour get the boot.

At least an election would give us something to talk about. Has anyone else noticed how dull the news is recently?

It is 288 days, 11 hours, 45 minutes and 32 seconds until Thursday, 3 June 2010

Another of Labour's great legacies:

BBC NEWS | Education | New students 'face £23,000 debt'

Students starting university courses this autumn can expect to graduate owing £23,000, a survey suggests.

The Push Student Debt Survey of 2,024 students at varying stages of degree courses found debts averaged more than £5,000 a year and that this was rising.

Three cheers for Labour!

Not just a Labour cost, I admit, but the cost of running parliament has been disclosed:

BBC NEWS | Politics | Cost of running Parliament falls

Just under £500,000,000.

That's a lot of bottles of water.
