Default Weekly Poll - Recruitment Consultants (06/08/09)

This week poll concerns recruitment consultants.

Love them or hate them (if you're a consultant you'll probably love them) they are an inescapable part of the freelance chain for many contractors. But how do you prefer your recruitment agent to work?

Do you prefer to get lots of attention, with regular phone calls to check how you are, and meals to thank you for successfully completing the contract and keeping the client happy?

Or do you think they call you "mate" too readily and just annoy you with the updates. Do you prefer a more "hands off" approach, with them only calling you with opportunities once they get them and to be left alone once you're on the client site? Is your idea of going for a meal with a recruitment consultant akin to spending a night with a guest from the Jeremy Kyle show?

Let us know here!

(If you're a recruitment consultant, feel free to vote on your opinion!)

If my consultant were to call me more than once a week I would speak to him more than I speak to my mum.

So less.

Funny thing is, I would love to speak to more recruitment consultants at the moment, but I wouldn't want them calling more than once a week unless they really did have something useful to tell me!
