Default Are iPhones worth the money?

The hype is over... Orange sold more than 30,000 iPhones yesterday when they relieved O2 of their 2 year monopoly of selling rights for the Apple phone.

So I'm left wondering is the iPhone really worth all the fuss? Does anyone have one? Would you recommend it?

No. Aside from a flashy operating system, it's just a phone, and not a very good one either.

Hmmm. I was never really that literate when it comes to mobile phones. The model doesn't really matter that much to me. As long as I can use it to call, I'm happy

The TV adverts always give the impression that they work like a dream. The reality is that they don't I'm afraid. My husband has one and is rarely able to get online, let alone use the thing for making phone calls!!!!!

Thumbs down over here

I have had about ten people who are in love with their own voice try to convince me to buy an iPhone.

None of them have succeeded.

Don't get me wrong, it's your choice, your personal preference.

I just don't see the point of buying what I perceive to be a poor phone just because everyone else has one.

I personally love my iphone.

It's the most versatile phone I have had and have not had a single problem with the product.

The only problem I have is with O2. Their network coverage is terrible in a lot of towns which make the whole point of a phone redundant.

The apps are fantastic, and they do run very smoothly as long as you have a strong signal or in a wifi zone.

Music, Films, Games, emails, internet all are excellent on this product and I think the fact that every other phone manufacturer has copied its style and OS is a credit to Apple for their first entry into the phone market.

You have a thread on iPhones? Materialistic. Capitalistic.

I hate mobile phone users. Especially those with bluetooth pieces attached to their ears. I'd love to snatch their phones and stomp on them until they break into a million minuscule parts.

Ah, but if you're a freelancer, being reachable by mobile may just mean the difference between getting and losing a contract.

We don't all spend the entire day attached to our laptops!
