Default Bartering is Blossoming

Here's a nice story from the Guardian that shows a creative response to dealing with employment through and beyond this recession; by work-swap. The writer got a website built free in exchange for critiquing a sitcom.

Teaching English in exchange for lessons in a foreign language is common-place these days but has anybody successfully bartered another service?

I do this all the time.

I work with a designer in Canada. She does designs for my clients and I setup Wordpress sites for hers. We just swap work (quid pro quo) and we don't need to mess about with money transfers, paypal, and all that.

Wonder what view the HMRC take of THAT?! Presumably it's all invisible to them (hurrah!)

Does this include trading sexu@l favors? Haha kidding

I haven't done this yet. However, I know someone who wrote content for a web company and in exchange, they designed a wicked blog for her.
