Teddy Bear's picnic? Not Quite...

MyMoron of the Week Award goes to the idiot who decided to enjoy a picnic with a 4 year old Brown Bear called Finn, in Bern Park Zoo, Switzerland.

Finn picked up the intruder as if he were a rag doll, carting him to the other side of his enclosure which only opened last month. The man sustained severe head and leg wounds but he is out of danger.

Unfortunately the same can not be said of Finn. Police were left with little option but to open fire on the bear and they used a fragmentation bullet, the kind which splinters inside the target.

Finn is critically ill but veterinarians are unable to operate because of the number of splinters caused by the bullet.

Police and zoo officials say there has been an outpouring of public sympathy after the incident – for the bear. And rightly so. Bears are wild animals. If you're stupid enough to get into an enclosure with one, you should face the consequences.
