Well yes... an accountant.

You wouldn't believe the amount of grief that caused me with their legal department.

I hear you Beefy. To summarise...agencies don't have a clue, NOT A CLUE about what exactly constitutes an MSC. As soon as recruiter magazine et al started publishing stories like "Agency Debt Transfer - be warned!" most agencies started to get very worried about their Umbrella PSL and whether or not they should in fact be accepting that £50 virgin megastore voucher for each contractor referral. I think the only thing good to come out of the MSC legislation is the evolution of organisations like AEMC and Professional Passport - these guys are currently on a national merry-go-round, cleaning up the Umbrella industry. Frankly it's about time….
