Default What is it with Hays?

Have any of you lot had calls from Hays IT recently saying they have a role available etc and saying they would email the details which never arrive?

I am use to this to a certain point but I have had 3 calls in a week, all surpose to be from Hays - no fishing but the email never arrives?

Are they trying to find out who is looking for work at the moment all are they just useless?

Over on cuk I know a few people mention keeping up their call numbers to look good to their boss - that seems like a safe bet.

Targets often go wrong like that, like the Heathrow baggage handlers that were targetted on getting the first bag off the plane within x minutes of the plane landing.

The result?

They would take one bag off the plane, then sod off and have a cuppa, safe in the knowledge they had met their target....

Meanwhile, back at Hays, those worried about their jobs can say "look boss, I made all the calls required today"

I had one at the start of April from Hays Finance. Although the email did arrive, nothing came of it. I'd say my average week involves speaking to about 10 different agents who are probably placing the same job. There's not much about at the moment, that's for sure. I've just taken a 25% rate reduction which hasn't exactly done wonders for my motivation – the new contract search continues...
