I saw the article on the main site about a challenge to it by ARC (whoever they are - no idea what they do for me). I see that they dropped it this afternoon.

Hiya, the answer is to become self employed and therefore exempt!

Hello there

The main concern for most business affected by AWR is employment tribunals. Nobody knows exactly how AWR will affect the industry until these tribunals have been heard. Employment agencies and Umbrella Companies will have to keep in close contact with their workers, regularly asking them what they feel about their conditions of employment, keeping records of what was said in order to defend themselves against ET claims. More admin for everyone, which is a pain in the @rse, but not the end of the world.

I agree. I think that most people believe the recruitment / umbrella world will go into meltdown come 1st October next year but the fact is, it could be years before anyone really knows how to fully comply with AWR.
