I've told my client my rate plenty of times. It doesn't worry me and it shouldn't worry you.

Woah, that's a bad situation to be in!

Well, I bet it feels like a bad situation. But if it helps, I have a mate where exactly the same happened and he's going strong. Don't sweat it.

Hi Azeey, thanks for asking.

Yes, it's better than OK. My client phoned my agent and whilst I wasn't privy to the conversation, he basically told him that they were taking the **** and that they either reduce their margin or lose all future business with that company. This agency place a lot of contractors with my client, so unsurprisingly they have upped my rate.

And in the words of the client: "we'll be keeping them on a pretty tight leash from now on"

Glad you got an outcome - there is no harm in having such a discussion if you feel it is appropriate.

Bel, I doubt he'll care about not working with the same recruiter. I know I wouldn't.
