Exclamation On the bench, miserable and bored (Blog)

In your freelancing career, there will unfortunately be the occasional periods of unemployment. When you're out of work long term, it's common to get bored, and I do mean REALLY BORED...

Technically I'm looking for work, even though I've found a new contract. If my agency keep playing silly buggers I might have to look elsewhere!

I'm still on my first contract, but that article might give some food for thought if my next contract isn't quickly forthcoming!

Why would anyone be miserable and bored? When i'm between contracts I relax, play some golf, catch up with friends, relatives and pretty much do all the things I can't do whilst working. OK, if you're long term out of work I can imagine that's pretty grim but you once you do find a new contract, all that free time you had will seem like a dream...

Have a good weekend everyone

Clive

If you're clever and save up some funds, you can class your out of contract time as a "holiday". I never understand people that take time off in the middle of a contract.
