Question Freelance Architectural technologist

HI everybody,

I am a recently made redundant architectural technologist. i want to go freelance and have my own work.

Do i need to sign up to an agency like hillmcglynn then an umbrella company - i am just learning, i was wondering if there was someone out there who could give me advise about what i should do.

i have done some research and giant-group seem to be very good, but i believe that i need to be signed up to an agency... i am mostly worried about the insurance side of being freelance rather than the work side. can anyone help me regarding this.
ie an umbrella company that does all the insurance i need and all the invoicing i need.
