Default Web design - can anyone do me templates?

I have had a number of clients who have wanted websites designed, and I have always worked with designers to create the sites from scratch. While I'm really a marketing consultant, I dabble in web design and can do most HTML/CSS stuff. What I'm not good at is the general design and layout.

So I'm looking for a company - or two - that I can work with whenever I have a client needing a website. Specifically, I'd look for someone to design me a template, which I can then develop with the text, images, extra pages and so on. I know there are places out there where I can get free or low-cost templates, but I am looking for a unique template for each client each time, not something that they may find being used elsewhere.

I've not seen this offered as a service, but I'm sure there's a few freeancers out there who may be able to help. Anyone??

Hi Claire,

We've used Crush Design (http://www.crushdesign.co.uk/index.html) for years. They produced the concepts and designs for the original freelancesupermarket.com site (http://www.freelancesupermarket.com/), as well as many other projects.

Give them a shout, they come highly recommended.

Hope this helps

I'm also in the market for a decent web designer. Let me know if you find anyone appropriate Claire. I'd appreciated it if you could hook me up.

Thanks
TF

I'm toying with the idea of setting up a service where Freelancers can pool together to be available for this kind of work. I know a great designer, great copywriter, great template guy, great email marketing and AdWords and SEO people - all freelancers with hours to spare.

And I know how to get a Wordpress site of the ground for anyone who needs any combination of the above with a content management system behind it all for easy updating, pasting of copy etc. etc.

I'm not pitching here, although I can certainly help getting sites up and running, I'm just thinking it'd be a great service for freelancers to get together and complete projects for people who need to call upon a dynamic mix of talents.
