HM Revenue & Customs, the Health and Safety Executive and the UK Borders Agency have all been more active in recent months in a move which was instigated by the Employment Agency Standards inspectorate in a bid to clamp down on rogue recruiters.
One of the results of this is that recruiters are now asking for more information about regulatory requirements in addition to seeking more business support.
The REC is urging recruitment agencies to ensure they comply with industry standards and provide the highest possible standard of service to their clients. Failure to do so can result in hefty penalties as well as a loss of reputation.
