The one-year programme was founded last year and targets young people who are business-minded and have the potential to be running market-leading companies in the future.
Successful applicants will embark on a 12-month internship with a leading entrepreneur this September. In addition, they will participate in events, training and seminars at leading business schools.
The host entrepreneur company will pay the candidate a basic scholarship salary of £20,000 if based in London, and £16,000 in other parts of the UK.
The programme was the brainchild of a group of entrepreneurs, including Oliver Pawle, from Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann, former government minister Lord Davies and Sir Nigel Rudd, the chairman of BAA. 29 people took part in last year's intake from a diverse range of backgrounds, including young people straight out of school, university graduates and more mature people with previous business experience.
Oliver Pawle expressed his delight at the progress made by the New Entrepreneurs Foundation during its first year and said he was looking forward to building on that success with the 2012 intake.
The aim of the Foundation is still as relevant as it was last year and that is to produce a new generation of outstanding entrepreneurs who will help generate growth and prosperity for the UK through new market-leading enterprises.
Lord Davies added that it was more important than ever for budding entrepreneurs to be given this head start into the world of business.
