David Cameron has now taken the wraps off the Business in You project, a scheme that works on the premise that a business exists inside everybody and it is possible for every business to achieve its goals.
The government intends to draw on the experience of private sector experts to create a small business information network that is advantageous and easy to access.
Mr Cameron explained that entrepreneurs and small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy and the coalition is determined to do everything in its power to help them set up and grow this year. He went on to say that he wants to see people 'go for it' this year and make 2012 the year of enterprise.
The Forum of Private Business has welcomed the scheme, saying it is good to see that the coalition is "rolling up its sleeves".
Phil Orford, the chief executive of the FPB, explained that in order for the economy to move forward, we need to see serious private sector growth. The economy needs to be rebalanced and the emphasis must shift towards smaller businesses driving growth. We need to encourage more entrepreneurship if we are to see serious growth.
The Prime Minister also recently announced his intention to let small businesses rent unused government office space at a low price in order to stimulate the economy and encourage job creation.
