About My Services:

I have prevalent experience in both project and programme management, and a solid record in successful deliveries. I have used both Prince II and ITIL for many years, and I have a proven track record of successfully applying these methodologies / frameworks in technically challenging situations. I have always approached a project from a holistic point of view where I have tried to attain as much information as possible about the business both strategically and operationally, and not just about the task in hand. To accomplish this I have always integrated myself closely with the business units, which can be demonstrated in my role as ICT representative on Citi's Mortgage and Secured Loans Steering Committee. To ensure the project's or programme's success I have always either enacted much of the initial analysis myself or worked very closely with the analysts under my charge. I have extensive analysis experience which stems from my development days when specific analysis roles were non-existent. This was further utilised in my role as Technical Director for The Pioneer Company (UK) Limited. where I was responsible for attaining customer requirements, providing a documented specification and ensuring the system was successfully delivered as per those requirements. I have managed a number of feasibility studies including the assessment of a single mortgage platform for CitiFinancial and Egg, and more recently looking at the operational and service management aspects of Lorien. As I have been able to bridge the gap between the business units and ICT I always play a crucial role in assisting the business units in initiating requests for change and managing that change through workshops and training sessions to ensure minimal impact will realised once the requested change has been implemented. I have extensive experience using project tools including cost trackers, RAID logs, ERP's and project plans to matrix manage not only diverse teams, in terms of functionality and specialism's. Where the services of a technical architect are available I always ensure that I work closely with this team to ensure the requested service meets the business needs, and where this function does not exist then I apply myself to the role, which can be seen in my successful record for delivering and integrating enterprise level solutions. I have extensive development and management experience across a variety of platforms including .NET, J2EE, SQL Server and Oracle. Many of my roles has required me to manage a diverse, and usually dispersed, ICT teams that encapsulates both hardware and software functionality. In the senior roles I have held I have always had to provide detailed requests of resource requirements, as well as assessing both the hardware and software requirements for the project or programme. In my previous role at Citi I was required to provide a 12 month delivery scheduled and resource requirements plan to the EMEA Head of Change, as part of the CitiFinancial Mortgage and Secured Loans ICT portfolio. more »
